Bertie Webb is a professional musician, conductor and music teacher specialising in voice, percussion, string and guitar instruments.
Bertie has performed in thousands of concerts since his debut at the age of 2, playing over 200 gigs in 2013 alone. These include performances for celebrities and royalty, playing cello for HRH Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Phillip as well as singing for HRH Price Charles.
Bertie has toured all over the UK and Europe, and has headlined some prestigious venues including; The NEC (Birmingham,) Aintree Racecourse and The Cavern Club (Liverpool,) as well as playing with some highly regarded ensembles including The Orchestra of The Swan as the soloist for their Snowman tour.
Bertie was a founding member of the world’s first ‘bandeoke band’ playing hundreds of gigs around the UK and Europe for names such as; Pfizer, MTV, Sky, Gala, De Vere and Marriott (to name but a few.) He also started his own record label and recording studio producing over 300 tracks.
Bertie studied cello under James Halsey, from the Royal College of Music, and music (BMus hons) at The University of Huddersfield (studying conducting under award winning conductor Natalia Luis-Bassa and composition and performance under world renowned pianist Dr. Philip Thomas.)
Bertie's main instrument is his voice, studying under English National Opera's principal baritone Christopher Booth-Jones. Bertie has performed in many musicals and stage productions, taking the lead roles in Oliver, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Grease and Oklahoma.
Bertie has taught hundreds of pupils offering instrumental lessons up to grade 8 in; guitar, voice, piano, violin, cello, bass guitar, drums, ukulele, double bass and music theory.
When he is not teaching or gigging Bertie is always hard at work practising and recording. He works with musicians and ensembles from all over the UK and further afield. From singer songwriters who need backing tracks for their latest single to orchestras and choirs looking for an original composition to perform.
