Bach's Prelude in C performed by Bertie Webb
This week for More Music Monday I thought I’d go all classical on you and play some Bach! Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier is a suite of pieces encompassing all keys of music. There’s a Prelude and Fugue for each key and would have been played on a harpsichord or similar period instrument. The Clavier means keyboard instrument, so nowadays that is the piano or in the case of this video; digital piano. Bach wrote 2 suites titled The Well-Tempered Clavier, this Prelude is one of the most famous - the first Prelude of the lot, which of course is in C major. This piece has been re-worked by many composers. Transcribed, edited, written for new instruments and ensembles etc… it has become a stable in every pianists diet and the 2 suites of music are rightly regarded as some of the most important pieces of music ever written. I hope you enjoy this little video of me playing some Bach on the piano. If you are learning the piano and want to try it for yourself then you can download the sheet music for free here: http://imslp.eu/files/imglnks/euimg/1/15/IMSLP582203-PMLP533917-Bach_-_WTC_1_-NBA-_Prelude-Fugue_1_(C_major,_BWV_846)._Full-size.pdf Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BERTIEWEBBOFFICIAL/
The Rumble BBQ DRUMS & Epiphone SG
It’s Monday! Time for some more music!! Yay! Today I’m playing one of the most famous instrumental tracks ever, The Rumble by the unbelievably cool Link Wray. This track is too cool for school. Just bass, guitar and drums. I believe it is still the only instrumental track to be banned from American radio for being too provocative! Link Wray’s use of chords and his stage presence when performing this track led to this conclusion. But times have moved on and now this is an essential guitar track that all guitarists should learn. There was one slight problem however… I don’t have a drum kit at home. So I had a quick search around the house and made up a drum kit using random things I could find. Here’s my no-expenses spent drum kit! Kick - my teaching case Snare - C1000 case with assorted spoons High Hat - Weber Kettle Plus Barbecue Lid Toms - Se Electronics microphone box and BlueBird mic padding Crash - Planet Z Crash cymbal So yeah, some random boxes and bits of foam and boom we have a drum kit! And this is how it sounds…

My Way ONE MAN BAND Frank Sinatra cover by Bertie Webb
Here we go then everyone. My #100daysofpractice is complete so today I start a new project that I’m calling More Music Mondays! (Love a little alliteration!) Each Monday I will upload a new cover song. Sometimes it might feature multiple instruments. Sometimes maybe a solo, duet or a capella...Who knows?! 🤷♂️ I’ll be messing about with genres and styles, as well as instruments etc... it’s going to be fun! And as always I’ve no idea where it will lead! This week I was mainly working on my cover of My Way for day 100 of my challenge. And it seems a shame, after all that work, to not upload it as a stand alone video. So this is the one to share everyone! My first More Music Monday cover taken from day 100 of my #100daysofpractice is the incredible masterpiece My Way. I hope you enjoy this video and if you’d like to see more videos like this then like my page or subscribe to my channel on YouTube, and join me for some weekly music fun!

Nearer My God To Thee performed by Bertie Webb (one man string orchestra.)
This is my arrangement of Nearer My God to Thee, the hymn the string quartet was playing while the Titanic sank. I've always been intrigued by the Titanic and this piece is harrowingly beautiful, it seemed like the perfect piece for my own tribute to the people on board. Arranged, performed and conducted by me. I do hope you enjoy. For more information please visit www.bertiewebb.com
